🗓️ THE DEADLINES

  • Submission Dates & Drop-Off Locations: October 11 at the monthly Artawa meetup, Oct 25 & Nov 1st at Beyond the Pale 250 City Centre
  • Opening Party: Thursday, November 5, 7pm
  • Display Dates: Nov 5, 2026 – Jan 2027
  • Location: Beyond the Pale Brewing Co. (250 City Centre, Ottawa)

🖼️ THE CHALLENGE: “Resonance”

The Goal: Create one brand-new piece of art that represents you.

Note: No pre-existing work! This must be created specifically for this 10th-anniversary show.

✨Broad Prompts to Spark Ideas:

  • What is your signature style?
  • What do you love most about the Ottawa/Gatineau area?
  • What “vibration” or legacy do you want your art to leave behind?
  • Examples: Your favorite subject, a self-portrait, or a local landmark.

📏 SUBMISSION RULES (The “Must-Haves”)

To keep the show cohesive, all entries must follow these specs:

  • Size: Exactly 12″ x 12″ x 1.75″ (Gallery depth wood panel or canvas).
  • Follow the theme to the best of your ability
  • Quantity: Strictly one entry per person.
  • Tag: Must include a completed tag attached to the back of the work. See Template.
  • Write your name on the back of the work
  • Dimensions: 3D/Relief elements cannot stick out more than 2″ from the surface.
  • Ready to Hang: Must be wired on the back. See Diagram Below

📍 HOW TO HAND IN YOUR WORK

Bring your completed work in person at one of the following times:

Sunday, October 11 at Artawa Artist Meetup @Ottawa Art Gallery 2:30-5pm

Sundays Oct 25 & Nov 1st at Beyond the Pale 250 City Centre 11-4pm
