NOTE: VENUE CHANGE!!! We are meeting at the Jackson Cafe, inside the Ottawa Art Gallery, across from the studio room where we normally meet.

We will be meeting at the Jackson Cafe (inside the OAG), just outside of the studio room where we used to normally meet. Same time as usual, 2:30-5.

I (Kina Forney ) will be going over some plans for the new year. As always, bring your own supplies and projects to work on.

Artawa is an inclusive group of creatives that meet monthly to create alongside each other, share advice and stories, socialize and network.

Since we are meeting at the café this time, please note that you will need to bring a few bucks to buy your own coffee/tea/snacks. If you need assistance with this, please let us know in advance! We will have limited space since we will be sharing it with the public, so please keep that in mind when thinking about what kinds of projects to bring. (Maybe not the full easel and paint setup, perhaps stick to a sketchbook!)

Public Transit:
– Rideau O-Train Stop
– Daly/Nicholas is the closest intersection, enter on the Daly St. entrance
– Alternatively, get off at the Mackenzie King station, then walk over the bridge towards Nicholas (northbound) then enter OAG on your left. Walk through the building to get to the space on the opposite side

Parking:
– There’s a paid parking garage across the street
– There’s free parking at city hall on the weekends
– On side streets around Daly/Besserer there are usually free spots as well
