DESCRIPTION:Where: OTTAWA ART GALLERY\, STUDIO\nLower level\, Daly entrance ave\, across from Jackson Cafe in the glass windowed room and security desk. \nWhen: Sunday\, May 10th\, 2026 \nWhat: Monthly artist meetup to make art\, network\, and commune with fellow creatives. \nBRING YOUR OWN SUPPLIES! This is NOT a workshop\, it’s a co-working hangout session. Bring whatever art project you’re currently working on and/or want feedback on. \nGet ready to celebrate 10 years of meeting together! We are hosting another GROUP EXHIBITION. Mark your calendars for November 2026\, the 10 year anniversary of our meetings. \nWe want as many of our members to come to the next few meetings as we will be planning the theme and details and talking about some fun things in store for 2026. \nIf you choose to come a little earlier to help set up\, no earlier than 2pm please! Here are some things we ALWAYS need help with: \n– Setting up the tables in the “island” shape\n– Make the coffee\n– Heat water for tea\n– Set out dishes\n– Place snacks\n– Take charge of the tunes\n– Member sign-in\n– Returning tables to their former places at the end\n– Washing and putting away dishes / coffee maker\n– General tidying \nAs always\, please come prepared with your own art supplies/projects. We supply the space\, lighting\, tables\, sinks and palettes/water cups if you are painting but you may not consume any of the materials on site. \nArtawa is an inclusive group of creatives that meet monthly to create alongside each other\, share advice and stories\, socialize and network. \nThis is an accessible venue! \nCome hang out\, drink coffee/tea\, sketch/paint/whatever\, and meet fellow Ottawa artists. Bring your own supplies.
