Basic Abstract with Tami Galili

This workshop is designed for the absolute beginner who is inquisitive about basic abstract.
In this fun workshop , artist Tami Galili will help students create an abstract work. We will have fun exploring structure and colours inspired by artists such as Mondrian, Miro and Kandinsky. Participants will work from still life creating an in class project while using the formal means of Basic Abstract : composition , rhythm, negative and positive spaces, line and colour.
All materials are provided.
T ami Galili is an Israel born Canadian artist producing work that fluctuates
between painting and drawing. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from uOttawa
and a visual arts diploma from Vitzo Tzarfat Art institute in Tel Aviv. Galili is a
recipient of professional art grants from the city of Ottawa and the Ontario Arts
Council. Galili is also an art educator, curator and active in both the design and
production of silver and leather fashion accessories (@galili-ellis). Tami Galili
exhibits regularly and both her art work and her accessories can be found in
many collections in Canada and abroad.
